Disclaimer – This is a post sponsored by thredUP. All opinions are 100% my own.
My mom wardrobe is CONSTANTLY in flux. Constantly. Things getting stained. Things getting torn. Things getting shrunk (or maybe it’s me growing! ha!). And admittedly….I like having new things to wear. And I love getting a deal. Don’t we all? So I am back to share one of my favorite sources to building my wardrobe – it’s a site called thredUP. If you remember, I have talked about this clothing site before and you guys LOVED it. And this time, we have a very special giveaway for you just in time of the holidays. GET PUMPED!
So for those of you who don’t know….thredUP is an online consignment shop that has high quality clothing and accessories for women and kids. And when I say high quality name brand clothing, I mean like EVERYTHING is name brand – J.Crew, Boden, Gap, Anthropologie, and more always up to 90% off! And a lot of the items are BRAND SPANKING NEW. New with tags new. New with the stickers still on it new. New with brand new price tags because remember…this is not from the store with their overhead costs and their fancy price tags.
So I head back to their site every few weeks to see if anything catches my eye and this time I felt like I hit the mother load. SO MUCH GOODIES.
I always try to get the boys at least one item each because it makes them so happy!
This time around, the box of clothing came exactly as it normally does but with a Christmas theme! You know me….nothing makes me happier than Christmas themed everything! Right now they offer the cutest packaging that doubles as reusable tissue paper, christmas tags and stickers!
I got this super cute dress….I’m totally saving it for a warm day! It is from Boden and it’s normally $78 and I got it for $29! Over half off!
And then I started handing out the boys stuff and apparently there was a miscommunication. Weston, I mean Iron Man, thought that ALL the clothing was for him….so we had to explain that we can ALWAYS get him some more (especially at these prices) and that we should be happy for everyone 🙂
He did perk up when I started showing him the new items like these new Gap jeans! Retail price on these is $30….but we paid $18.99 and they are brand new with tags!
The real turning point was the dinosaur shirt. It was his favorite color too. He loved it so much he whipped out this pose…
LJ got a brand new sweater that looks great with his blue eyes….
All my boys are into trying on their new clothes and doing a pose-parade. That’s what we call it. They stand in front of the door and I take their photos in their best poses 🙂 It’s the highlight of any shopping excursion. At least for them. There is a lot of whistling involved and some oohs and ahhs! The highlight for me is the fact that this is brand new from Baby Gap and normally $35 but I only paid $13 🙂
And Will is REALLY into fluorescent colors right now and brand name athletic gear so I won the Mom of the Year award with this nike outfit 🙂
Heisman winner 🙂 (gotta brag – the pants & shirt together both Nike – total retail – $64 – paid $24) That makes me want to spike something and start doing the stinky leg.
Maxi Knight got a new pair of pants and a $4.99 Baby Boden shirt!
I can’t even!!!
Pose Parade!
Their cute little faces are too much 🙂 But a close second in cuteness is this round up of items that I found for myself that are SO flattering and nice. I decided I wanted to create a capsule wardrobe of sorts with these items to show you how a little bit can go really far and inspire you if you win the giveaway!
I bought 12 pieces from thredUP and I figured out so many different combos to wear them together and apart that make for a really great wardrobe. Here are a few of the different outfits that are my favorites…
I simply added my own shoes and accessories and was able to get some really good looks that make me feel like a million bucks at a very discounted price! And the best part is that I can also easily mix the pieces into my own wardrobe….so this striped skirt? Boom….worked amazing for church one Sunday with my old polka dot sweater.
I put together this example of ways you can mix n match different pieces so that for 16 days I can wear a completely different outfit! That’s like an entire wardrobe. And for less than the cost of the ONE dress at normal cost. AMAZING.
So I dare you to go to thredUP and not find something you will love. I know you will. It’s incredible. And the amazing part is that thredUP is giving Bower Power readers a special offer… 40% off your entire thredUP order by CLICKING HERE and using the code BOWER40 – this is valid through 2/1/17 for first time shoppers up to $50…. And for those of you waiting so patiently for the giveaway….the time is here baby!
