Over the age of 21?  Then you probably remember the days when there was no email, no text messages, and no social networking sites.  The world communicated via snail mail.  If you wanted to send an encouraging word or a quick thanks or a note that says “UR GR8 :)”, there was only one way.  And it involved Mr. Postman. 

 

You may all think that the art of ‘carding’ has gone extinct…but I assure you, it is alive and well.  And it is hotter than Enrique and Anna on a park bench.  You heard me.  Carding is back!   Thanks to the fabulous artists over at Etsy, there are great products available to share the everyday cheer.  And what better way to give the gift of joy than to put them in a fabulous (and cheap) display box.

Remember the pedicure kit that I made on Memorial day?  Yeah.  I didn’t think so.  I barely remembered it.  But that’s okay…the point is, that I found another medallion covered box at TJ to the Maxx.  And for only three buckerroos. 

 

After getting home, I gathered up some random blank cards from my collection.  Since most card packages come with several copies of various designs, I could spare a single copy to add to the batch. 

And after gathering up the pretty papers, the box just needed a pen to complete this couch-side-correspondence-kit.  Isn’t this just perfect for a sidetable turned encouragement station?!
