Ever since I saw the lovely white bamboo box at Target’s Home Design event, I knew that the time would come where it would make it’s way from my wish list to my coffee table. I spent many moons dreaming how I would incorporate the beautiful storage piece into my home.
Then an epiphany happened. As I was watching Heroes, a truckload of migraine decided to park in my head. Immediately the all-of-a-sudden-super-intense-this-season-close-mouthed-talking Claire Bennett (of “save the cheerleader, save the world” notoriety) became ridiculously brain piercing. I reached for the controller and pressed the mute. Nothing happened. Then across the room I spotted another controller, again no volume difference. At that moment, I could have lunged into the television, superman style and strangled her to death. Don’t worry. She’ll heal. Third clicker was a charm. That’s when I knew exactly what must be done.
Before our flippers were strewn about. At any moment they could be found in random places. or be completely lost. And they didn’t exactly fit into my home decor style. I figured the best way to use my soon-to-be-mine-o-mine bamboo box was to make it a controller controller. A container for our clickers. A fence for our flippers. A region for our remotes.
Out went our wooden elephant and in came the bamboo box. Secured at Target for 50% off this wood-like wonder now acts as an enclosure for our corralled clickers…and my heart. Plus I love how the white color is complementary to the white-ish coffee table tray & books combo that lives on the upper level. And since bamboo is a renewable resource (a fast growing grass to be exact) I feel that I am doing my part for the environment. All you tree huggers should applaud me. Go ahead. Clap away.
Plus it makes finding the remotes easier than ever. Combine that with the fact that Jeremy never has to move his patootie from the couch to reach the controller…and I do believe I got myself a winner. One hundred points – me. Two thousand points – Target.
As you can see, this beauty is the perfect size for the remotes and has room to spare. Next up…trying to cram the PS3 controllers in there 🙂 Just kidding Jeremy – I would never do that.
If you wanna get your own albino box – click here – and it’s your lucky day – 50% off online for a grand total of 15 smackers! And they have a version in natural and a smaller size for all you universal-remoters.
But before you run off with your Visa flappin’ in the wind…tell me about your clicker situation. Do you lose the little sucker? Do you even know what controller goes to what controllee? Do you know what a flipper is? And if so, where do you keep your little boob tube remote? Most importantly…if you had a clicker for life…what would you pause or mute or fast forward? Go ahead…let’s get all Adam Sandler up in here.
