It’s an ongoing joke that I only tile when I’m pregnant. It’s because it’s kinda true. Every single time (even when I don’t know I’m pregnant) I somehow find myself elbow deep in a bucket of mortar and fondling porcelain beauties. In the past I have done about ten bazillion posts on tiling…and things I learned. One of the most important things I learned in prepping for tile is taping seams properly. This is the unsung hero of the tile job. It’s the Robin of Batman’s tile job. Sure the caped crusader did the dangerous job that seemed dramatic and had a big effect at the end (all my tile jobs end with a smoke bomb…how bout yours?) but really if you fail to tape the seams, it will come unraveling in a few short months….aka cracks in your tile and your grout. BOOM! POW! KABLOOOOOO-IE!
I did a little play by play of putting down seam tape on Instagram stories (which I am addicted to….although it often kicks me out in the middle of posting new stuff! argh!) and I put all those clips together to post here so that you can get this wealth of information from the girl in camo pants. Don’t judge me…those are very old and very comfortable and I’m hoping they make my thighs disappear 🙂
Here it is! And if there is any other thing you would like a mini-video on….how to paint trim, how to patch drywall, how to eat all your kid’s leftover Easter candy…I am here for you 🙂 Put your suggestions in the comments! Thank you and happy tiling!
