This is kinda embarrassing.  So I have four kids.  Two of which are still in diapers.  And I do not have a diaper bag…..except for one….a Mickey Mouse diaper bag that I got on clearance at Walmart.

It was adorable and helpful and everything I needed it to be at Disney World…..seriously….who knew that diaper bags were so convenient?!  But now?  Now I am ready to pull the trigger and get me a really pretty diaper bag.  Especially seeing as how I clearly am working on improving my handbag game.  A few years ago, a friend convinced me to invest in nicer handbags….things that I love….nothing synthetic because it falls apart….but classic well-made bags that are something I will love forever….and I took that to heart.  Shoot.  I am in my thirties…it’s about time.

Now I have a clear no-cheaply-made-purse-protocol….and it totally works.  I look for sales and wait till I can buy handbags and totes that I always say “OH heck yes!” to when getting dressed.  I usually end up spending in the $100-$130 range…which admittedly is a lot for most people but I find myself buying less so it actually works out to be about the same amount I would have spent in the long run on multiple, cheaply made, and soon-to-be-falling-apart bags.  They are amazingly sturdy, clean up nicely, always look so polished and put together.  And what ends up happening is I stand there….holding a cartoon themed diaper bag on one arm and a really pretty satchel on the other.

NO MORE.  Dear Mickey, you are gonna get retired to the ‘box of stuff I may never need again but I will keep it just in case’.  The simple fact is…..I clean lots of poop off booties and thighs and feet and hands and I will have a grown up diaper bag that looks great because it holds the most important thing in my world…..the wipes and antibacterial gel 🙂  My mind is made up.

The only problem is – I don’t know what bag.  I was hoping that maybe you guys could help me out.  I was thinking of going with a striped bag….but there are a lot of options….so if you can give me any advice I’d love to hear it.  Here are the options….(and you can click on any of them for the links to more details!)…

Obviously I’m thinking stripes 🙂  Also Jeremy wanted me to include a dude-bag in the mix because well….dudes.

And I also added that stroller bag…because I might just buy it and keep it permanently affixed to the stroller.  It would be so nice to have that on hand anytime we break out the stroller!

But seriously – what do you vote?  My first thought was that first bold black & white large striped one with the darker brown accents because all the good reviews.  And then I also like the gray and white vertical striped version.  It could get dirty though.  The floor of our car has who-knows-what on it….so it’s a very real possibility that it would get dirty outside and inside. I’d have to look at it a little better I think.  But anyhoo….anybody wanna throw an opinion in the ring?  I’d love it if you helped this mama out – you never failed me yet!
