I thought it would be fun to once a month share some of the things that I’ve been wearing. I know this may not seem news-worthy but if you are like me, then you struggle with finding the right clothing. I follow so many fashion bloggers but in reality, if my thighs look very different than theirs in those jeans….and my shirt hugs me in places where they are sporting a crop top….and my overall shape has a fond attraction to all things with spandex. I don’t require plus size but I also need to see clothing on a similar mom bod….so consider me your shopping guinea pig. If there is something you can recommend – leave it in the comments.
As for these posts, it is helpful to know that I am 5’7″ and weigh about 155 lbs. I normally wear a size 8-10 in jeans and a M-L in tops. I have a short torso and hold weight in my lower half ….so if you have a similar body type, you can see how things look. I like my arms so I don’t shy away from tanks and I have a strict rule that if it’s not comfortable, I don’t wear it. Period.
This dress was so affordable – ONLY $15 (!!!) and I was super nervous about ordering it online without trying it on but I love how swingy it is! It has a super loose fit around the waist and even though it is ever-so-slightly bordering on the line of too-short-for-me, I can totally see myself pairing it with leggings and boots when the weather cools off. I really want to order these boots to wear with it.

These sandals are Crocs and I can’t find a link for them anymore….but they are always coming out with new styles and I seriously think they are the only ankle strap sandal that I can wear that looks flattering. Highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for a comfy wedge. I linked the navy version. The dress was a steal (under $22 with code) and I love the looser fit around the body and then tighter fit at the hem. I think it is really slimming for me. The color is what sold me….I love those vibrant blues….so flattering.
I was shocked at how many compliments I got on this dress. Even my mom noticed it! It’s a shirtdress style with a little pleating in the front so it hid the mommy-tummy and I loved that it was lined. You really can’t beat the price tag either. It’s out of stock right now but when it comes back in, you need it. Here is a similar look. My shoes and bag are old but I linked other versions above.
This top is a recent find for me and I love love love it. It is really really comfortable and hits me at the right place for the peplum to flare out. I think it’s instantly dressy! I think I might pair it with some dark jeans and a leather jacket for date night but for my mom’s singing performance, I wore it with wide leg black slacks (yes, they are maternity but hello! stretchy!) and some leopard flats. And yes….I ate a giant bowl of pasta and I didn’t suck it in for this photo 🙂
Ok so that is it for this week. Tomorrow we are having Max’s birthday and we have family coming into town and a baseball game and I’m trying to wrap up the builds for the Pedraza kitchen and film a really fun video for y’all….so wish me luck and lots of energy 🙂 What are y’all going to be doing? Anything fun?!
