It’s a Breeze!

So in true hoarding fashion, we have a few pack n plays.  We have one my parents bought (we keep it over at their house for when Will needs a nap)….we have one here (for guests and for when I need Will to stay put)…and Jeremy’s folks have one (it stays in Chattanooga for when we visit).  So when the folks behind the new playard called The Breeze contacted us, we were like…um…yeah…awkward silence…we don’t need this…aren’t all playards the same?! 

And then we watched the video.  And the 2×4 of realization smacked me across the face. 

This one is different. 

First of all…it’s actually sleek and looks like it’s not from the 80’s.  And don’t let our leggings fool you.   We like 2012.   And why do baby gear manufacturers feel the need to put Winnie the Pooh on ALL the options?  Hello!  These things have to live in our houses!

And on top of the way it looks…it actually doesn’t cause a stomach ulcer to set up.  In fact, it’s ridiculously easy.  Like I wanna apologize to my mom for making her go through setting up the old one because this one puts it to shame.     Check out my home video to show ya how easy this one actually is…

And yes, Will is obsessed.  We told him it was for the new baby (the first thing we really got for the Little Baby) but he is convinced that it’s his…and that he can make a tent out of it…and change his Zebah in the changing pad.

    there are all kinds of baby items that make my life easier….like the bumbo, exersaucer, etc. but i think my favorites are simple: my son’s pacifier and my daughters lovey….can’t do without them!

  2. It’s a breeze! We are expecting our first baby in March. So far we purchased a cute shirt that says I’m crabby. It is my first and favorite baby item so far!

  8. It’s a breeze! I love cribs… am I weird? There is just something about a beautiful piece of furniture that my baby will be spending Sooooo much of their time in, that gets me every time. I sometimes wish I could leave a nursery put together forever, even after the kids are grown!!

  10. It’s a Breeze!!! My favorite baby item is the rock n play sleeper. That was a lifesaver for the first few months of my daughter’s life.

  12. It’s a breeze! Our favorite baby item isn’t even a baby item-it’s the ipad! Loaded full of Baby Einstein in the baby stage and now Elmo, it has saved us during many an outing:)

    Favorite baby item… definitely the exercaucer!! Hours of fun for everyone!! Ok just for 5 month old baby; but momma enjoys the free hands to do dishes or eat bon bons or what have you 😉

  21. It’s a breeze! My favorite baby item is a kneeling pad for the bath tub. It is cushy on the knees and wraps up and around the tub, too, so it’s cushy on your arms also. Used it for over two years now and don’t see an end in sight!

    My favorite baby item will always be receiving blankets. Baby loves them, I love them, and you can still use them as rags after baby’s all grown – a baby item that truly gives you your money’s worth.

  24. It’s a breeze! I think my favorite baby item of all time is the bumbo. Seeing chubby little thighs coming out of those leg hole has got to be the funniest/cutest thing ever!

    Ditto on the overuse of cartoons on all kid’s things — it’s even made its way to maternity clothes (just because i’m pregnant doesn’t mean I want to wear a goofy nightshirt!).

    With my 15 mo. old I have loved, loved, loved Aden + Anais swaddle blankets. Worth every overpriced penny.

IT’S A BREEZE!! let’s see…..favorite baby item…..i know it might be a little weird, but i’d have to say my boobs! on our second kid and after being put through the ringer for 2 years with the first and then 5 months with the newest one, i think they’re holding up pretty well!! plus, you can take them anywhere, you don’t have to worry about waiting for a bottle to warm up, and they never get lost!! now, the best baby item that i have been gifted or bought would have to be my ergo baby carrier. didn’t have it with baby #1, but am SO loving it with baby #2!

  29. It’s a breeze! The pacifiers with the indent for your finger to help baby grab on (and paci clips).

  32. It’s a breeze! I’m an expecting momma too but for us, its our first. I don’t really have a product that I have tried and love but I did find a stroller at Target that folds down really easily (after taking 15 minutes to figure out how to fold down a normal one in the middle of the store) and totally added it to our registry. 😛

    I think my favorite baby item is the bundle me. it’s so nice to just throw, I mean, gently place them in the stroller and know that the little ones will be toasty warm 🙂

  34. It’s a breeze! I love my son’s little tractor. It moves on it’s own, makes noises and even sings. Keeps him busy and entertained ;o)

  35. It’s a breeze! I take my 3 month old to work with me as a moms morning out teacher so our baby K’tan wrap is my favorite baby product right now! It also allows my hands to be freed up for my two year old!

    My favorite baby item is our Britax BReady stroller. That thing is the mack daddy of strollers enableing us to use it as a double stroller whenever we have another baby. Britax is known to have great products and after purchasing the stroller and carseat, I love them more than any other stroller brand out there.

    My favorite baby item is the Baby Bjorn Balance (bouncer chair.) It’s another one of those “stylish” baby items that fits well into my home decor, plus, my baby loved it!

  46. It’s a Breeze! My favorite baby item is my BumGenius Diaper sprayer. I could not live without it. Earlier this year, the pin came out of the handle and I had to wait for a replacement pin… living without it for a week was a nightmare!

  47. It’s a breeze! I think my favorite baby product is my umbrella stroller. I can’t even remember the brand, but I love that I can just keep it in the trunk for the moment I think “Oh I wish I had a stroller” and then it’s there!

    I don’t have any kids (yet!) but I do know that shopping for friends’ kids is hard…because there is so much great stuff, I want to get it all! 🙂 I do think that the Bumbo and the Boppy are great inventions! 🙂

  57. I have a MamaRoo and let me tell you, It’s a breeze to put my daughter to sleep in it! She is a little older now, almost one and we went to a cabin and took our pack-n-play and that.. wasnt a breeze. I would love to win one of these!!!

    I don’t have any favorite baby products just yet; our little one is still cooking (due in late November).

  61. It’s a Breeze! Wow this looks amazing! I am due with baby #4 next week and this would come in very handy–and would look waaaaaay better than our ugly pack & play! Speaking of favorite baby gear, my favorite would have to be high-quality swaddling blankets. Lightweight for summer, flannel for winter, they are a must!!

    My favorite baby product has definitely been the jumperoo- my little guy starting jumping somewhere between 4 and 5 months, and still asks to get in it at 14 months!

  73. My favorite baby item is Freddie the Firefly! He kept my 10 month old daughter company during our flight the Philippines. It was her first trip to her Mommy’s country of birth! The trip went so smoothly. It’s a breeze!

  74. I would love to win the 4moms Breeze! My baby doesnt have a playard. But, she does have the Fisherprice snugabunny swing! The makers of this swing are going straight to heaven, it is AMAZING! It makes nap time,( and doing laundry, dishes, showering, ect.) so easy- It’s a breeze!

    And my favorite baby product is the Woombie! Definitely the best swaddler and gave us many nights of great sleep once we found it!

  76. It’s a breeze! Our favorite baby item would have to be our Angelcare baby monitor. We love the peace of mind it gives us and it’s stylish to boot! Plus, it’s good for years…. especially when he learns to crawl out of his crib soon!

    My favorite baby gear was definitely the boppy pillows. Having twins made those things worth their weight in gold!

  82. It’s a breeze! The “O” Ball from Target will never get old….for kids or adults. I have one at my house for when my nephew visits (of which the pack and play would be SO helpful for) and my husband and I find ourselves throwing it back and forth some times when the nephew isn’t even over! 🙂

    My favorite baby item right now is a woven wrap. I love just being able to wrap up and snuggle, and still have hands free for play time with my toddler.

  84. It’s a breeze! My favorite baby item when my son was a baby was his bouncer. He would contently sit and watch me or nap all day sitting in his bouncer. This time around (Due sept. 23rd!) I am really excited to use my Aden and Anais swaddle blankets.

    Our favorite baby item is our Chan! Both my 2 year old and my 5 year old loved it! (they actually both still play with it like crazy when they see it! LOL)

  94. I couldn’t do without my Fisher Price Grow with me Rockers. They were great with my twins for feeds and a safer place to put them instead of on the floor with my rambunctious three year old. We are still using them, and according to the weight limit, my three year old can sit in them.

  96. ‘Its a breeze’…..Nik loves what I like to call her ‘stuffed animal family’…big bird, raggedy ann and doggie…I call them her stuffed animal family, well b/c, I’m a red head, my husband is tall with a schnoze and we have a dog. She sleeps with them every night and takes them out of her crib every morning. How sweet is that?!

  97. oh how cute was that video! 🙂 love how you had to lift will by his legs to help him finish pushing the button. “it’s a breeze!” we don’t have a baby yet, but we have set up many pack and plays in our house for visitors, and i love how easy this one looks! as far as favorite baby things go…. the moby wrap and the sophie teether do seem to be pretty handy! looking forward to seeing pictures of your little man when he arrives, too!

  103. It’s a breeze!! My favorite baby item is little and cheap—the plastic bath cup made by Munchkin! It’s about $3 and the plastic is super flexible. It doesn’t hurt baby if you accidentally drop it on them or poke them with it 🙂

    I was a HUGE swaddler! I always say if it was OK to swaddle my 2yo I would! The tighter the better 🙂

    There are so many great baby products! I have to say that my current favorite is our exersaucer. I totally thought it was not necessary to have one, but I absolutely love it!

    Seriously this thing looks so cool, and right now my pack and play is my go to item for my 18 month old. She is currently the youngest of 4 and we live in close quarters so we use it for naps and bedtime. We also use it for vacations, visits to the in-laws, and just to contain her while I try to run a vacuum or cook dinner 🙂 This Breeze would certainly come in handy as mine is impossible to open and close and transport!

    my favorite baby item is by far the Angelcare Monitor. It definitely gives you a little peace of mind when you walk out of your baby’s room after you put them down. And of course knowing the temp in their room is an added bonus!

    Oh man, my favorite item would be hard to put my finger on since I won’t officially enter into parenting until October… but right now I’m in love with little boy shoes. I get how incredibly impractical it is to have a baby in stylish shoes when they can’t even roll over, but something about old man boat shoes on tiny toes makes my heart melt!

    With twins there are lots of things you grow to love…we love love love(d) our Rock n Plays for the itty bitty twins to sleep and nap in instead of a bassinet or PnP that took up too much room so we could keep them close to us at night. They are also great for reflux (one of ours has it). They are now in their nursery and our little girl sleeps in her crib but our little boy still uses his next to his crib 🙂 This PnP would be awesome and easy to use!

  124. Unrelated to the pack n play, which is spectacular by the way – but where did you get that cute little zebra?? We recently finally got rid of the pac in the crib at night but I’d love to get Cohen a super cute stuffed animal that he can basically have for all time, and I’m mad crushin’ on that Zebah!

  125. It’s a breeze! I loved my muslin swaddle blankets. Never had any for #1, #2 would stop crying half way through a swaddle and be asleep with in a minute, until she was NINE months old. And even after one, I could still swaddle her arms for her to fall asleep.

    also anything made from organic cotton or bamboo velour. So very very soft.

    I really like my amazing carrier as far as useable abay gear goes. I have the Cybex 2.Go and it has a pretty high weight limit, size adjusters to custom fot the carrier to the babe, many convertable possibilities and cool fashionable colors. THE BEST PART is that the hip placement is great for baby and the weight of the child is also placed on the parent’s hips not on the back. I have 2 and gave my sister a beautiful blue one when she had her baby this year.

    I never did find a play yard that was useable enough. This looks like ”It’s a breeze!” . I would get a LOT of use out of this.

    Love how easy it is to put together…we’ve just started looking for baby items now that we’re expecting our first little one…I’ll definitely be perusing this website.

    My favorite baby item? So far these tiny little boat shoes I bought…they’re so tiny, how could you NOT love them??

    I really liked our Chicco car seat. It was soooo easy to install
    and because it rocks, we were able to put our lil’ one to sleep
    even while at a restaurant.

  130. It’s a breeze!! I don’t actually have a favorite baby item since I don’t have kids yet, but my husband and I plan to start trying when he gets back from Afghanistan but I figure it’s never too early to start hoarding 🙂

  132. It’s a breeze! I think one of the best baby items are the sleep sacks. While they make your baby look funny/huge, they keep them all bundled…and sleeping!

  135. It’s a breeze! I love a nice diaper bag. Is mean not one that has Disney characters on it, a pretty one. You shouldn’t have to sacrifice style just because you are a mom.

    truth time: i dont have any kids. i’m not prego. but i remember my little brothers pack n play (from the 90s) and how much of a pain it was to set up and how many times it pinched me and i am inexplicably intrigued by this new fangled packnplay…

  144. It’s a breeze! My 7 month baby boy loves his jumparoo. And so do I! He plays while I cook dinner. Once he’s crawling (any day now), we will need more ways to keep him confined for those times when mom and dad can’t be down playing with him and keeping him out of trouble. The Breeze would be PERFECT!

  147. I don’t have a favorite baby toy…I just want to have another baby! We have an almost 8 year old daughter and we’ve been trying for over a year for a second bambino. There is so many new baby items on the market now. I hope I get a chance to buy some AND win this play yard!!

    By far my favorite “must have” is the Johnny Jump Up. Keeps them in sight, but stationary, and happy–for HOURS if needed. (Not that I’ve ever done that or anything….)

    We had friends stay with us this past weekend and they had a super awesome playard just like this one…small, easy to set up, light weight, not too bad on the eyes, etc. and I have been raving about it ever since!

  158. Its a breeze! My favorite baby item is baby wipes! So many uses, I have a 4 year old, 22 month old, and a 3 month old. We use a lot of baby wipes in this house.

  163. Its a breeze! I really really really loved my Boppy pillow. Like I had a mini love affair with it. It really made breastfeeding easier for me. When it wasnt in use to support the girls it was a pillow. Loved it. (Id also love to try this Breeze!)

My favorite itty bitty baby item was of course the swaddle me blankets. Little One took every nap and snooze in that thing until she was 4 months old!

    Love our AngelCare Baby monitor. Allowed me to sleep through the night without freaking out about whether or not our baby was still breathing.

  170. It’s a breeze! My favorite baby item is a MIRACLE BLANKET! These swaddle blankets are amazing. I love how they keep the little ones swaddled and cozy. I’m pretty sure all my kids slept through the night so easily because of Miracle Blankets. I always buy them for my pregnant girlfriends.

  174. that thing is awesome!!! my son broke his eddie bower play yard when he was only 14mo old from trying to climb in it- yes in. So his little brother never had one- the shame.
    It’s a breeze! My favorite baby item would have to be the Ergo. Best money spent for sure. I still use it to go hiking with my 3yr old, little legs can only go so far 🙂

    I’m pregnant with my first, so I don’t have a ton of experience with all of the awesome baby items out there yet. However, I did work in the infant room of a daycare center for 5 years during (and a little after) college. With baby to teacher ratios of 5:1 or 12:2, I couldn’t have survived without the bouncer.   209. It’s a breeze! My favorite baby item that we use (for my 1st and now #2 who is 11 days old) are weewee pads on the changing table- YUP, the kinds you use for puppy training! We cut them in half and use them over the changing pad cover…these girls both poop sneeze(d) and I was changing those covers daily- and with baby #1 I didn’t have a washing machine! Saved us lots of cleanup time!

Our favorite baby item right now is the home made moby-style wrap that we use to keep him cuddled and cozy while we get some chores done on the weekends!

    My boy loves his stuffed moose named Mortimer. It’s intended to be on his stroller- but he loves it so much it’s always in his hands… or mouth… or anywhere else that he can manage to put it. It rattles, it squeaks, it crunches- it does everything to hold his attention when momma starts to bore him!

    My favorite baby item has to be my son’s baby Einstein all around the world sit and play. It helps educate him in different languages and helps with his hand eye coordination. It also gives me a few moments to handle business while he is playing 🙂

    My favorite baby item was our bouncy seat. Our son refused to sleep lying flat for the first three months, and if not for that seat I would never have gotten more than three hours of sleep at a stretch. We took it *everywhere* for months.

    I have been a mother for a total of 5 weeks now and in that time my favorite item(s) have been the (overpriced) muslin blankets as well as the hospital blanket that JFG came home in. I thought it was cruel to wrap him up like that but soon found out that it allowed me a tiny bit more sleep. If the legs are a flailing the boy is a-waking. *sigh* I did the opposite of a lot of first time mothers I’m familiar with – I under-purchased items b/c I don’t want to purchase the wrong thing. We’re making do as we go but good grief – there are so many overly sweet things with monkeys plastered on them…a note to anyone that designs this stuff. Stop it. Please. This pack and play would definitely be welcome in our home 🙂

    We don’t have a baby just yet (!!) so I have no experience, but I’m getting quite excited about all the cool new styles of cloth diapers (yeah, apparently diapers can be cool!). I always thought cloth diapers had to be the big square pieces of cloth pinned in front and covered in plastic pants that I wore as a baby, but the new ones are so neat!

    Lots of adjustments in our home these days. My husband and I just had our first baby. Myles was born on 08.25.12. With only a little over a week of parenthood under our belts, I think we would both agree that our favorite item is the Halo sleep wrap…I swear that thing is a baby whisperer! Whenever we just cant figure out the crying, we wrap him into a snug little burrito, and BAM! He’s out.

And then, my daughter loved to climb all over it when she was learning to crawl. It was easy to prop her up in it to learn to sit up. She could take naps tucked in the curl of it. And sometimes, I even took naps in it. They are so comfortable and so versatile.

  286. It’s a breeze! Honestly, my favorite baby item is the bottle drying rack that folds down. I used it for both of my boys (now 5 and nearly 2) and plan on using it for the next baby in February. It dries everything from bottles (duh) to plastic ware, baggies, lids, any little thing I want to get out of my sink but don’t feel like manually drying. Simple but it’s use goes beyond babydom.

    My favorite baby item is the Fisher Price Rock N Play sleeper. We used it as our bassinet and love, love, loved it. So easy to move around the house and take when visiting family/friends. It was the perfect angle to help with his reflux. Love.

    I think I’d have to agree with Rachel with the “bumbo” as one of my favs. My little guy is so chunky (he’s in the 90th percentile for height & weight) and seeing him propped up in that little chair is too stinkin’ adorable!!!   407. It’s a Breeze! Currently, my favorite baby item is my Ergo carrier. I have a 5 and 3 year told and the Ergo allows me to have both hands free for them when we go anywhere. It also allows me to leave her infant seat in the car [because we all know how much of a pain they are] while on outings. Baby loves the Ergo, too!

We have used them since he was a newborn, after the swaddling phase was over he still live to cuddle with them to take naps, are great for snacking “picnics” on the living room floor. There is almost always one in the diaperbag, one in his crib, and one in the living room.

    So I heart our Mamaroo which is by 4moms. It’s not a biased post to try and win the breeze. It’s just an honest statement. Our little girl hated the conventional swing that her brother happily sat in. We were apprehensive about spending the money but a good friend let us borrow theirs first. It’s AMAZING! It’s not just because it looks cool or has fancy motions. It’s smart design. Our little one happened to have a blowout in it and in about 10 seconds I was able to unzip it and throw it in a quick wash and there are no stains and it zips right back in. It’s also super easy to move around. It doesn’t weigh 30lbs and have parts flopping around. Also you can hook up a phone or mp3 player if you don’t want to use the built in sounds. It’s also very durable. I just love smart design.

  462. It’s a breeze, my favorite baby/toddler product has to be a wet back, no carrying around plastic bags to put baby’s clothes in case of a blow out, or use them with cloth diapers, and tied for 1st in my book is my sling, carrying the baby close to my heart.

    My must have baby items are the Aden and Anais muslin blankets. I use them for everything you can imagine related to baby. They are big enough to swaddle an older infant, they can protect your whole body from spit up when you’re burping, they are big enough (and cool enough) to use as a nursing cover, I cover the carseat with them on a sunny day, and my little guy likes using them as a lovie at bed time! It doesn’t hurt that they come in cute patterns, too!

    My favorite baby item so far are these boppy changing pad cover things. They lay on top of the cover and you can just throw it in the laundry basket if it gets pee or poop on it – without having to change the whole pad cover every time. You can have multiples and they take up a lot less room in the drawer. We went through them so fast in the first few days of bringing home baby girl!

My first little guy absolutely couldn’t sleep for his first 6 months unless he was swaddled within an inch of his life. Each one was great for a different stage of his development (and different season).

  639. It’s a breeze! It would be the Playtex One-Step Breast Milk Storage attachments. Pump and freeze the liners right side up. Once it freeze, I can remove the caps and placed it in a ziplock bag until the milk is needed.

    my absolute favorite baby item is the clamp highchair. we take it everywhere! it is so nice to just clamp it onto any table and not have to mess with highchairs when we are out. i also like how it collapses to fold flat.

    My favorite baby item has been the mesh feeders, oddly enough. I didn’t think they were necessary, until a friend gave us one to try and it saved our sleep several times! It was the only thing to calm my son down when he got up in the middle of the night.

    Hands down my favorite baby product was the Miracle Blanket! It changed the way our baby slept and I credit his amazing sleeping patterns to this day (9.5 months old) to it as well. He slept through the night at a month old and hasn’t done differently since.

    My favorite baby item is the boon spoon!! so so convenient. But I love pack and plays too. We keep ours in the back of our car so its always ready at a moments notice for napping on the go! But this one looks much more convenient than ours. And the bassinet would be super convenient for the new baby we have on the way.     I’m expecting #1, and the item I’ve gotten so far that has me the most excited is this silicon mat with suction cups you can put down on any table anywhere for eating. My friend uses it at restaurants. It folds/rolls up and tucks into a purse or diaper bag! So practical.

  719. It’s a breeze! Let’s see, my favorite baby item? It would have to be the miracle blanket. My daughter had severe eczema and the miracle blanket kept her from scratching herself in her sleep. We used it until she was almost a year old. By that point she could wiggle out of it. Thank goodness her skin has cleared up otherwise we would have had to switch to a baby straight jacket!

    My favorite thing in the entire world right now is our Precious Planet Whale of a Tub! It’s made for newborns all the way up to 2 years. My 2 month old loves to move her hands around in the tub and rather than being held above the tub in a sling, she can actually sit in the tub and is submerged to her chest where she loves to relax. My husband and I both grew up around water and being in a landlocked state we really hope our daughter learns to love and appreciate being around water as much as we do! In those early days I swear the girls’ main goal was to break out of a swaddle and mine was to keep them all cozy in one.   777. It’s a breeze!!! I have two favorite items…our Motorola video monitors and this amazing blanket we got as a gift. It’s made by Kicky Pants and it’s actually made from bamboo. It’s the perfect combination of weight and warmth. It’s actually gotten to be known as the “magic blanket” around here because the minute you lay it over my son and have it touch his face, he’s out. We had to buy a second one to have for a spare when the other one is being washed! I will always give these as gifts at baby showers from now on…it rocks our socks off!
