In 2012 I discovered both H&M and Loft maternity lines. I have yet to actually buy anything there (but I do own a few things I found at Goodwill that were these makers) but I’m hoping to change that this time around. I’m loving the tshirts on both ends…the colorblocked one is just smart. And the chiffon tunic? As long as I kept it ironed, I think it would be one of those go-to items in case of a date night or dinner with friends. The other shirt is something I would wear under a sweater because it’s a different pattern than just stripes 🙂 Ok ok ok…I know that chick in the middle is not pregnant. She looks like a baby herself. But that dress she is wearing? I own one in that fabric from H&M and it is amazing for us girls that grow em big. I used it as a tunic and it squeezed me in when I needed it. I even wore it to the hospital the night my water broke with Weston. It may not be a maternity item…but it should be.
I LOVE all these maternity posts! I’m 15 weeks pregnant with my first and just starting shopping for maternity clothes. My pants are getting a LITTLE tight! So many of the items you put as favorites were things I bought over the weekend.. good taste 😉 When is your actual due date?
cute! thanks for sharing!
Early march 🙂

OMG, I’m due in Feb. and have had no time to buy anything maternity.. but now in the past 24 hours have purchased from three of the above four stores you’ve highlighted. Thank you! / Please hide my credit cards now!
Oh this is good news. I’m sick of looking at the kind of hideous stuff at motherhood and the waaaay overpriced stuff at pea in the pod. I’m happy to know about these options now. I’m due mid-March, and I do grow ’em big. So you’re a good pregnant lady to follow for fashion advice. 🙂 And you’re totally right about looking eleventy months pregnant so early. My abdominal muscles are like WOO-HOO LET’S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!
Love this series. Big fan of H&M maternity and I’m lucky enough that one of my local stores carries their line so I can buy in person. That last Loft shirt is to die for but holy gah! $54 for a t-shirt, mama no like. I feel a DIY coming on… know I’ve seen a color blocked shirt like that somewhere, just need to add some elastic ruching!
Does your local H&M carry maternity clothes? I would love to check them out, but ours doesn’t have it and it’s still a trek from us (we’re in Michigan). I’m due with my second in November and seasons are different than my last pregnancy. Also, congratulations!! So happy for you and glad you spend the time blogging to share with us how real you are, so relatable!
I am loooooooving these pics. Especially the LOVE t. That is my jam. You’re making my ovaries ache…
Skip Loft’s clothes. I agree they are utterly adorable and so I bought some last pregnancy. They are super short and I felt like it was just their regular clothes but a size large, instead of a maternity top size small. It will work out well for the beginning of any pregnancy but once you start to get a REAL bump, it was really hard to keep it covered. I didn’t feel like it was worth the money they charge.
I’m due at the end of March and am getting excited about possible maternity clothes. I hate not being able to buy anything cute since I know I won’t fit in it soon. Congrats again!
I love H&M maternity! I bought a few things from there with my first child and I only bought stuff from there when pregnant with baby #2!
What is the carrier that you are using with Weston in that one picture?
Hey Katie! I found your blog through your photography site. I left a message a few days ago on the # you listed. Was wondering if you got it? I love your work and really want to do a shoot with you since I just moved to the Snelville area. Please let me know here I guess.
It’s a Solly Baby wrap and you can see the link in this post.

It didn’t last time I was there but I asked and they said that they potentially could soon? I have no idea what that means in real language though 🙂

Hi Melissa! I am not taking on photography clients right now…so sorry to get back to you this way…I’ll have to go check that site more often! Hope you find a photographer who can work with your needs!

I understand 🙂 Seeing now that you have two little ones and another on the way..it makes sense! I wish you all the best and I am a new reader! Love your blog!

I am loving this maternity wear feature. I’m 15 months postpartum but I’m starting to miss the pregnancy feeling and new baby smell 🙂
I love the Loft’s maternity section! They have nice sweaters and pants in cool patterns and textures—their cords are great for winter and their chunky sweaters come in actual colors!
If you get them when they have a 40% off sale (and have a coupon for free shipping) then it can be quite the deal. Last year I think the website crashed during their big sale.
I am due March 7th with bambino #4! I have 3 lil men now so we will see who pops out in March. My pregnancy wardrobe needs a reboot after 3 rounds and I had no idea H&M had a line. Thanks for the info and congrats on your newest love too! Cheers to a happy, healthy pregnancy.
These are all so stylish!

H & M finally got their online store up and running and you can purchase the maternity line there!
Girl I am so with you on the H&M dress. I have one as well and I plan on wearing that junk out and then buying another!
FYI, Loft is having a flash sale today (Wednesday)…extra 60% off all sale items. There are some maternity pieces thrown into the mix.
We have that same Body Glove suit, and I SWEAR it is **the best suit ever.** I found it almost 10 years ago for my oldest child, and several children later, when it got completely worn out, I found another one on eBay for my 4th child, and I swear by it. We call it, “The He -Man Suit.” It keeps them so warm, and it’s got the best flotation of any suit I’ve ever bought.
Haha. We call it the Gru suit because he looks just like the guy on Despicable Me 🙂

I had no idea LOFT has a maternity line. I”m starting my 2nd trimester and am in desperate need of maternity pants and their regular pants have always fit me so well. And with the awesome 60% flash sale they’re having, I just scored a pair. Can’t wait for them to arrive. Thanks for that! Will totally be checking out H&M’s line too.
I liked the maternity clothes from H&M but feel like their pants ran a size small. Tops, on the other hand, seemed to fit fine (and I grow large babies too, 8 weeks out from a 9 pound little lady). I also appreciated the quality of their clothes, they lasted me throughout and I will save them for any future pregnancies.
I can’t believe you found maternity stuff at Goodwill!! Have you seen it there often, or was it a lucky trip?
I see it there a lot! It’s usually mixed in with other sections like the plus size clothing or long shirts will be mixed in with the teens dresses. It’s weird but if you can find a good piece it’s AMAZING to save that moolah!

I’m now in my 3rd trimester (first pregnancy) and I’ve purchased two pairs of LOFT maternity pants that I love!!! Also got them on flash sale days… actually ordered several pairs (got free shipping) and returned the ones that didn’t work to the store. I personally love their roll-panel pants more than their demi-panel ones, since those work for me better. And they’re so supportive of the belly! 🙂

I HAD to come back to this post and say that I bought the jersey dress from H&M and love it so much that I went back and ordered it in 3 different colors. I “grow ’em big” also as you say and bring in my 3rd trimester now it’s the only thing that gives me some shape and is long enough and doesn’t ride up on me. Thanks so much for the recommendation!
YAY!
