I decided to take photos of Will everyday. I don’t know why. I guess it was because I realized that he is going to grow up in a blink of an eye. or the swish of a hummingbird’s wing. or the beat of a heart. either way…our little boy is going to be different everyday….and I want to remember him and everything about him every single day. man…am I sappy.
What an adorable idea. And you’re right… the year does go by in the blink of an eye! Enjoy every day with your little man.
He’s adorable! And LOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGG!
And come on now … you can be honest with us: you’re just trying to show off all his cute outfits. Guess all that shopping paid off!
What a great idea!
He has got to be the best dressed 25 day old boy around! Beautiful chronicle of your boy. Thank you.
Stop giving me baby fever for a son.
Just stop it now! 🙂
I can see how big he’s getting already! Crap, did that make you cry? ugh.. But he is, and its just precious. I could squish him all day! Is that weird? No not at all.
No, that’s not sappy at all. It’s super cute. What a proud mamma!
My little guy has some of those outfits! How sweet. You’re allowed to be sappy. You’re a mama. 🙂
Love the idea! The best part my be how he really rocks the “fire power” pose in picture 1, 11 and 18. 😀 Priceless
Aww, what a cute idea! Enjoy your little man, but I’m sure you do! Love all his outfits!
He’s soooo cute! I am due any day now and I think I may steal your idea. Plus it would make a great photo book for grandmas, don’t you think??
Your photo series should be made into a commercial for cute baby clothes. You have quite the model who is obviously gifted at striking a pose 🙂

What a great idea! Oh, and I agree with Erine, his outfits are quite fashionable.
I love this idea and he is adorable!! I love all his outfits.
It is amazing how quickly they change. I can see it even in these photos and I don’t know him personally. He is a beautiful boy though. Which he will hate ANYONE saying in another 3 years.
SO so so cute!! I cannot believe 25 days and not a single outfit repeat. I wish I had his wardrobe 🙂
I have three — (4 and under) and they do grow so fast. I have taken a picture in the same chair(the everywhere chair from pottery barn kids) every month (on their birthday) for the first two years. It is amazing to see the difference even month to month – treasure this time even though you will be a little sleep deprived — they are only little for a short time.
He’s a beautiful little boy!! Many congratulations and I love the picture per day idea!
That baby has a better wardrobe than me! Stylin’
Not only is Will adorable but he had a GREAT wardrobe. Katie, will you please start shopping for me too?
Your baby has quite the wardrobe! He is a stylin’ little man. This is a great idea – will you put them all in an album?
Oh I love the idea of taking a photo every day of your new baby! He’s so cute! And very stylish too!
You’re taking pictures of him everyday so you can show us all his cool clothes….:-)
I love his outfits! Especially Spiderman!
I love Days 22 and 23. Those little shorts outfits are too cute. He looks like a little man. So adorable.
This is beautiful and such a great idea!
I love the way those shorts swallow him up! SO CUTE!
What a sweet little baby!!! 🙂 You’re right it does go by fast and he will change so much. This is a great idea! All of his outfits are so cute.
He’s gonna be a runner with long legs like that!
Fabulous idea! I met a woman who did this a few years back, and it really made me wish I’d done it. You can’t get back those days – I think it is wonderful to document them!!! 🙂
He is SO beautiful… and well dressed! You will treasure these photos for the rest of his life. Enjoy every precious, sleep-deprived moment.
Love your idea! I plan to steal it once my own little boy shows up. And yours is absolutely adorable.
And this way, you can show your family that, yes, he did wear and enjoy the cute little outfits they bought him. Your obsession with GAP Baby is showing! 🙂
What a great idea! I’m sure I have pictures from everyday when my daughter was very young, but haven’t ever compiled them. I, too, love that Will is not in the same outfit twice in his first 25 days! 🙂
precious! 🙂
what a great idea. Yes time goes by very very very fast! enjoy every every cry, every baby nuzzle, every coo, even all your sleepless moments (as you are spending precious time with him) and their (his) smell. Its gone way too fast!
hes so cute!!! and he has lots of cute clothes! wow he already looks so different in only 25 days!
Katie, He is such a doll! You’re 100% right though, he’s going to grow up faster than you know!
Oh my gosh. What a cutie.
PS: Is that first pic a baby heisman trophy pose?
PPS: can’t wait to see pix from Will & Clara’s first play date!
I was expecting to see maybe 2 weeks worth of pictures! He is already older than what I thought. :O) My baby turned 1 on April 29 and I can’t tell you how bittersweet it is to see your lil man turning into a toddler. You keep taking those pictures! They will be treasured forever!
What a sweet, adorable guy! I love that his eyes are open so much more at the end. And I heard from baby gap that you will be getting paid for the free advertising of their spring line!
I LOVE this! SO precious and you’ll treasure these when he’s “big”. What a great idea!!
That’s fantastic! What a great idea.
I’m doing the same thing! Everyone thinks I’m crazy, but when they look at them all together they’ll understand why! Plus, my daughter gets cuter everyday, so it’s hard not to!
What a styling little man! So cute!!
AAAHHHHH!!! They made some changes to our server at work and I haven’t been able to see any pictures on your site since before you delivered…. I’m sure he’s gorgeous though, I mean look at his parents :o)
He is so handsome Katie!!! I love your idea, if only I would have read this about a year and a half ago I would have totally copied you (and claimed it as my own idea mwaaahaahaa).
I am sure you are already hearing this daily, but enjoy every minute!!
I wish I had as many clothes as mr. will appears to have! How cute!
He’s adorable!
By the way, I noticed in most of the photos, he’s looking in one direction. Try to put interesting/hi-contrast things for him to look at on the other side of the crib so he doesn’t develop torticollis (a common, but easily preventable condition in babies).
Wow little Will has a very large wardrobe!
Cute Idea! I’ve actually seen this before and they put all the pictures to music in a slideshow which I think is an excellent idea. Here’s a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVDXC1dOB9E&feature=related And by the way, Will is probably the best dressed baby this side of Texas.
Such an adorable idea and so is the baby! I so wish I had thought of doing that with my little ones, but they are 3, 5 and 7 now. Enjoy this magically first year! I must say the little lad has quite a wardrobe!
That is the cutest think I have seen, so adorable! Great idea, thank you for sharing with us!
Such a great idea! He is adorable, and so are all the different outfits he has on. 🙂
awwww such a good idea! you should send it to GAP maybe they can use it as part of their advertising?
Good for you! I did this in 2009 to document my life and it was a great experience. I found that the hardest thing was to keep everything organized on the computer :). I think I’ll do it again during my first year of marriage or when I have a baby.
I did this with my son too. I did it for the first year, at least. It’s a really fun photo project. I have all of my images on flickr. 🙂
Little Will is adorable! What a great idea for photos, it’s so cute to see his little outfits each day.
Cutie boy. How funny are the old-man high-rise shorts on Day 23?! 🙂
Soooooo cute! Is it just me or can you totally see a difference in the 25 days?!
This is a wonderful idea. And I am quite jealous of Will’s extensive wardrobe 😉
What a nice idea! I hope you’re able to stick with it, because I bet that it would make for quite an interesting flip book at the end of the year – turn the pages quickly and watch Will grow up in 5 seconds flat! 🙂 His outfits are adorable, BTW.
Oh you’re such a smart cookie… what a great idea!
Amanda B – that is actually my co-worker’s baby and he sure is a cutie! great idea, Katie 🙂
Oh, how absolutely adorable! I love the way they all look together. Will is the most fashionable baby, heh. And love how he already has his signature pose with his left arm up and looking over his right shoulder. Classic. =) Congrats again, Katie!
I personally can’t believe it’s been 25 days already. You were right, look how much he’s changed…the picture a day was a great idea and Im going to have to steal it! Of course, I have to wait another 6 months before it matters…but thanks for the idea!
LOVE this idea! I’m so sappy too…so I don’t think the one picture a month will work for me. What a precious thing to have for you and him! And my what a well-dressed little guy! Love the outfits. 🙂
wow he already looks bigger and more alert! darling, Katie! and those striped outfits are to-die-for cute!
wow! he is so long! he’s gonna be tall. so cute!!
what a supercute and awesome idea! hope you don’t mind if i totally nab it for when we eventually have a little one! it’d be a great way to build a “baby’s first year” scrap book too!!! much more personalized and colorful (especially with all those cute outfits!).
you’re so smart!
Such a cute idea! Can you share where the day 15 t-shirt came from?
What a cutie! I love his little madras shorts.
You posed him like that for spiderman, yes? He makes an adorable superhero!
So cute!!
Hi Kalyn,
The monster shirt came from Baby Gap. I love how the front of the shirt shows the front of the monster and the back of the shirt shows the back of the monster. Ca-yute.
XO – Katie
SO CUTE! I also love the Day 15 t-shirt. Good shopping, Katie Bower!
-Miss Em
Oh my goodness, adorable!! Thanks so much for sharing these pics with us! 🙂
I love how massive his little shorts look on him on Day 23!
I’ve also thought about doing this when I have children. I found a blog online a long time ago (beats me what it is now) and the blogger had make a collage of all the days in her child’s two year life. It was amazing to see the small transformations throughout the year and definitely made me realise how much children change in such a short time.
Am I seeing a future wall project here?? 🙂
Okay so why does Baby Will have a better wardrobe than me LOL?! He’s so freakin adorable!!
my brother has a flickr album that he posts a picture to everyday. I sure love it!
Hey Katie,
My husband and I(or mainly me) have been taking at least a picture a day of all three of our kids since they were born. I wanted to stop when they each turned 5, but he said, we have to keep going. My oldest is 10 now, and my youngest will be 5 in July. And although I am so ready to be done with this, it is really cool to see how they change. My kids really like looking themselves at different ages, so I am sure we(I) will keep it up for as long as possible.
Good luck with your picture a day, and have fun with it.
Day 10 is precious! What a cute little man.
BTW- you have alot of outfits for him!
katie bower. we all know this is just an excuse to do more shopping at the baby gap. don’t play.
what a handsome little man! 🙂
Katie, First of all: Congratulations on the beautiful addition to your family. These pictures are adorable and it is such a great idea to take lots of pictures in the first year. BUT, I have to say that I have major problems with a newborn in jeans. It drives me crazy. They may look cute but do you think they are comfortable? I do love your blog and follow it everyday.
I LOVE THIS IDEA! So special!
Kelly
That’s hilarious! Totally something I would do. Your little man has great style already. 😉
I love this! How sweet is little Will?! I also love all the stripes he wears!
This has to be one of the best ideas EVER! I can’t wait to have kids so I can use this idea. 🙂
