To be perfectly honest, I didn’t learn anything particularly new in that book (most of the cervical mucus shape and consistency stuff didn’t really apply to me – that I could note regularly) so it was really about more of confirming when I was ovulating (which I could do on my own by taking temps and then the fertility monitor confirmed it). Hanky panky had happened when I was ovulating before…but I think God wanted me to go through that journey of waiting. Heavens knows I need to learn patience 🙂

My husband and I are going to start trying later this year for our first child and watch your pregnancy and ideas will definitely help me to feel at ease during the enduring process.   28. Awwwww….I knew it would happen for you soon. The baby cycle always seems to pick up in January/February. Unfortunately I know that because my husband and I have been trying for over a year as well. I am so happy it has happened for you and Jeremy. Lots and lots of baby dust to you.   40. i needed that. completely unexpected and i normally never listen to vlogs – but yours was worth it. thanks for sharing your heartfelt gratitude about your newest blessing…i need to be reminded now and then about how it felt those first few moments of pregnancy – the joy, fear, bliss…you tend to forget as they grow up and spit out their dinner and have tantrums in the middle of the store. you forget that this – the whole package – is what you wanted, dreamed about and desired above all else. congrats! now i have to go find a tissue.

I think I remember seeing recently that you read “Taking Charge of Your Fertility.” Do you think it helped and would you recommend it? We tried for quite a while before we were able to have our daughter (it was nothing compared to what some people go through, but was still the longest year of our lives), and I cringe every time I think about trying to get pregnant again.     I am SO happy for you, Katie! I am pregnant, too! I feel such a connection to you (in a non-creepy way!) because we were pregnant at the same time and I also named my little boy William. Since his birth, I have been pregnant twice more and lost both babies, but I am 14 weeks pregnant now and it seems a little injection of blood thinner in my belly every evening is the answer to our fear of another miscarriage. I am so excited to see all the fun projects you come up with in preparation for this new baby.

I found out that we are expecting about two weeks ago! The emotional roller coaster that goes along with infertility is awful!   432. My sweet girl was our medically impossible miracle baby- I totally know where you’re coming from! It’s so scary. Personally, hubs and I decided to accept that we were a perfect family of three, but went ahead and didn’t take any sort of preventative measures (why bother if you can’t have more kids right?). We figured if god gave us one miracle, there was a chance he might give us more and we would be overjoyed if that happened, but we weren’t going to expect anything. Too much disappointment and heartache the first time around. But lo and behold, we’re expecting again this summer! So, I don’t have any advice for you except to know that the docs aren’t always as smart as they think they are, and to enjoy the miracle family you already have. Good luck!

    Congratulations – it’s such exciting news. I’ve been following for the past 6-8 months and feel like you are a much cuter and bloggier version of myself (I just donated my locks a few weeks before you did, have been dreaming about pregnancy, and love the Lord – just to name a few). I’ve thought about posting, but never felt compelled to until today. Anyway, I just found out that I’m pregnant a few weeks ago (actually going to my first OB appt today!) and COULD. NOT. BE.     God blessed us with one daughter who is now 17 years old. I know the struggles and frustration of miscarriages. My daughter is a smart, self-assured girl who has never minded being a only child. She found 2 other only children long ago and they are like siblings. I became a much better mother to her when I quit worry about growing my family and just embraced and lives the life and gave it to God to handle. I don’t know his big plan but I am a much happier person when I just trust it in.

    I haven’t commented before – but I definitely have been walking with you through this journey. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since last February (also 13 months ago!) and haven’t been successful yet. I think you and I may even be on the same cycle because your posts about your difficulty conceiving seemed to come days after I had another disappointing monthly visitor. I felt like you were speaking exactly what was on my heart.

    I really appreciated this video you shared. This has been a struggle that my husband and I have kept to ourselves, we haven’t shared it much with others out of fear of disappointing them. We did take a step in faith and filled out an anonymous prayer card at church a couple weeks ago asking our church to pray for a baby for us. I’m actually encouraged by the things you said today to start opening up to a few close friends and gain more support. I now know that I don’t really have to carry this weight on my own – thank you, Katie.

Two beautiful boys and an amazing BT……my life could NOT get any better. I cry with you……happy tears, KB, HAPPY TEARS!

    I follow your blog daily….ok…..so I log on two or three times a day in hopes that you may, by some crazy chance posted something about bacon or your boyfriends wonderful assisting skills with DIY projects or to see the very trendy outfits you dress your family in. She got her results on Monday (everything being A-OK), and then she found out she was pregnant this past WEDNESDAY!!! PTL!
